MCP is the Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets an AI assistant query an external data source during the conversation. With the Precisian MCP connected to Claude, to ChatGPT or to your own agent, the assistant queries orders, spend, sessions and inventory on the spot, and gets the number already reconciled and already defined, with the calculation on display. No spreadsheet exports, no copy and paste.
With Precisian, you do not connect the ERP to the AI directly. You authorize the ERP as a source for the lake, Precisian loads the history, reconciles the keys with the other sources and applies the semantic layer. The AI then queries the lake through MCP. This avoids the classic problem of wiring a model straight into the database: it does read the table, but it does not know which column is valid revenue or which orders were cancelled.

No. Each client has an isolated environment, with no shared database. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is least privilege by role and with MFA, revocable at any time, and every query is logged and auditable down to the data that supported the answer. The data centers where the platform runs hold ISO/IEC 27001 certification. The certification is of the infrastructure, not of the Precisian product.
Use of client data for training is defined by explicit policy in the contract, never by assumption. Architecture, sub-processors, retention policy and the split of responsibilities are in the full technical sheet, sent on request.
You take the whole lake with you. The environment is portable at any time and the exit is planned from the contract onward, not improvised at the end.
